Nordex was founded in 1985 in Denmark, in 2000 they moved to their headquarters in Germany and became NORDEX AG. Today, their main manufacturing plants are located in Rostock, Germany and they also have affiliates in China. The company has a total global workforce of over 1,500 people. In 2006, Nordex was ranked 7th in wind turbine sales, holding 3.2% of the global wind turbine market share.
